rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. Predominantly Political and Supernatural Intrigue with potential for battle scenarios set pre-Race for the Throne or during Celestial with long term plot potential to change events as the timeline folds over into Imperial.

This would be an OC only game, and all OC's would have to be built using the L5R rules set. still deciding between 3rd or 4th edition. While dice rolling won't be a focus, the RPG rules do help build a character to the setting and can make extended combat easier - it also gives a resolution format we can turn to when players can't agree on an outcome.

Because of the setting, panfandom is impossible without making nearly every character that gets sucked into the world a hunted criminal and it really helps if people are familiar with the setting, in any case.

would there be any interest on DW? I've helped run an L5R game before on forums, but I really like the journal set up for character accounts and comms.

I dabbled in the tabletop RPG years ago and loved the idea and the setting. I tried to find a game set in it back then too (Yahoo Groups so that should tell you something) but never did. I think it would be a lot of fun but you might want to start out with just a small group to start and then add people as you went. You really need quality writers to get things moving and keep them intriguing. That said this also might be an interesting meme idea to kind of test drive concepts and scout for writers too.

No offense is meant by this, but that reads as really elitist. I think I'd need more than just quality writers to keep things going and intriguing, I'd need interested and driven ones who want to play with the setting and the possibilities. Quality itself, is also a very subjective thing. I think of myself as a decent writer and RPer, but I could be terrible to someone else.

I think it's great you're interested and I hope this doesn't deter you from looking at it should I get it going, but I would really prefer to keep talk of 'quality' of the potential players out if. That's just asking for - and making - trouble.
