Man you haven't looked hard enough then. Or maybe it's just died down recently, but the quick-fire bigot comments are the reason I strongly dislike the ship. I don't really care for shipping myself, but I strongly dislike those two ships anyway because both of their following are rabid, blind, hateful morons usually.

It's getting way out of hand. Sometimes I wonder if there's anyone left in the fandom who cares about the story more than who's boning who or how gay a person is or isn't.

what about people who just like dirkjake because their apparent homosexuality is never really capitalized on as a super important part of their character and is just a neat casual gay relationship and that's fucking cool

plus finding their general interactions hilarious and wonderful

they had still never directly interacted until this update. the number of actual pesterlogs between dirk and jake numbers to zero.

hey, i'm a fan of the ship myself, i'm just saying let's not ignore the facts here.

yes let's just discount all of AR's interactions since they aren't similar to dirk in the slightest, as well as their past conversations, as well as jake's interpretation of dirk in a dream, as well as things jake has said about dirk, as well as things dirk as said about jake.

stop being obtuse. you're a roleplayer, you should know what inference is.

ar interacts very differently with everyone than dirk does, and jake's interpretation of dirk is still very much not dirk.

i ship it myself and am all for inference, but inference is not interaction. mostly i'm annoyed because i want to see them actually interact onscreen for once, because you know how well it's gone for ships that were established and entirely conducted off of it so far.

i think this could be argued either way though. shippers gonna ship and it's not like this is, idk, davekat or something. the fodder is very much there. i'm also hoping that we get some current interactions between them, and i'm actually really hoping for some kind of flashback or something because i'd love to see jake talking to dirk about being coerced into kissing his severed head

but i know this will probably not happen
