Wow that title looks pretty silly but my usual HOMESTUCKS @ SC doesn't quite work here so it'll have to do.

Anyway, hi guys it's me again. I am still looking to acquire more Homestucks for

soul_campaign! We're a mediumish paced game set in the world of Soul Eater, although you don't need to know anything about it to have a good time. Our apps are currently closed and will reopen next month, so you've got time to check out the game and get one written!

Currently we have Rose (..obviously), Dirk, Aranea, Meenah, Sollux, Eridan, Feferi, Gamzee, Disciple, Psionic, Dolorosa, and Signless. We want everybody else! There is a special desire for all the other beta and alpha kids as well as Nepeta and Karkat, but honestly anybody you app will be greeted with ridiculous enthusiasm.

It's ok, anon! I've seen a lot of maybes fall through in the past and never held it against anybody since stuff can pop up really unexpectedly. I'm just happy that someone is interested even a little bit.

Also I know for a fact that Disciple-mun would loooove to have a Nepeta around, if that means anything. /eyebrow waggles attractively

I actually reserved before but was put off by the lack of enthusiasm. I was super bummed because I remember people jumping with joy over reserves in the past.

Obviously I can't speak for anyone but myself in the game with any authority, but I think that a lot of the reserve jumping has died down a little in recent times? At least compared to what I remember happening in the past. I'm not sure if it's because the game's gotten a little smaller or the apps have shifted to monthly but it's honestly not an indication of whether or not the players are excited at the possibility of having you.

For me personally I've always been really bad about checking the reserve page and miss when people make them until a while later at which time I feel silly commenting on it, but I always make sure to hit their ooc intro if they do end up apping in. At the very least I can guarantee that I'd be thrilled to have more castmates even if I don't manage to convey it at the reserving stage.

(also I apologize if any of this doesn't make sense, I'm not feeling well and my mind has been getting away from what I type all day)

no, but i'm not going to app into a game when no one gives a shit.

in my experience with sc (yes, i've been in the game before) if no one shows interest in the reserves the character doesn't get a good response in the game icly or oocly. needless to say, i'm not going down that road of completely blocked from being able to make cr again.

maybe it's changed, but as someone who knows absolutely none of the cast oocly and is new to playing the character, i'm not going to risk that chance of being shunned oocly. been there, done that.

as someone who has mostly played from obscure fandoms there and never once had anyone to jump at my reserve with excitement, nor I knew anyone before joining the game, I can say that has never EVER happened to me.

i always get great amounts of cr no matter who i play, even if i don't get asspats for reserving a certain character.

every game I've been in has banned players from commenting on reserves for exactly this reason.

as someone who flopped out of her last game when she couldn't get interest going after a few months, I get your fears---but maybe that character didn't click for some reason. it's worth trying again!

(but I say this as a perpetual LCW. if you have a cast and it's hard for you to get communication with them that might be different, but try reaching out when you intro and see what happens?)

except this happened multiple times with multiple different characters from super popular to incredibly obscure.

it's either me, the game or both and i'm not really going to give it ANOTHER go just to find out after this. i'm not really willing to see if third time is really the charm.
