Pronoun confusion

I've got a minor dilemma, anons. Mind giving me some advice?

My character (let's call him A) is currently in a log with another character (B) he's had a few interactions with, but barely knows. B's sex is ambiguous when you look at them, although my character's just found out that B is biologically female. I'm a bit confused on if B identifies as male or doesn't identify as either gender, but regardless the mun uses male pronouns in their tags with B. However, B hasn't done anything to indicate to A that they identify as male, so in A's head, they're female. (A's also from an earlier time period that AFAIK was comfortable with blurring of gender lines but wasn't particularly aware of transgendered people, and he's also got a tendency to be uptight about traditional gender roles in canon, so he wouldn't even think about someone being a different gender than their sex.)

What's the best pronoun to use for B in A's tags? I'm leaning toward using "he" since that seems to be the most respectful, but I'm also wondering if it will seem like A somehow magically knows B's gender since the tags are basically written from A's perspective? And also, if there's a point in A's inner monologue that he would refer to B's gender, should I have him refer to B as female since that's what he thinks he is, or should I just avoid using a gendered pronoun there altogether?

question: how do you guys pick how to icon your keywords, if you keyword them at all?

like do you use expression terms, song lyrics, weird symbols, etc. I'm trying to figure out how to do mine but I'm not being creative enough.

I tend to have one symbol I put on the front of all of my character's keywords that's different for each one (music note for the musical character, clock face for the time-bending character, etc) so I don't accidentally post with the wrong character (since I can tell who I'm signed in on by just a glance at the keywords.)

As for the actual keywords, I'm all over the place. I've done song lyrics, lines from a poem, paraphrases of the scene the icon comes from, things I think are funny at the time but are definitely not funny, vague keywords that give the general mood, etc.

I suck at keywords, is what I'm saying. But as long as they help you remember what the icon is, it works.

Say, if I wanted to play Anne Hathaway from Princess Diaries/Enchanted, is it in bad form to use icons of her from Batman? Not the ones with her in costume, obviously.

I want to play this character from a somewhat obscure movie, and she has literally zero icons from the move available. There are, however, plenty of icons from another movie... except there's a huge difference in costume for Icons-That-Includes-Things-Below-The-Neck.

I am now in a relationship with an object, a bookshelf named Hunter who is made of mahogany. I have always been attracted to him (he beckoned me over in Pier 1 imports when we first met 8 years ago) but now I know I really love him. For 8 years he has been full of books and knickknacks so I never really got a good look at his slender, sexy frame. I am moving soon, so I took all the books off, and it was like I was undressing him.
