Firefly at Paradisa and Thoughtformed!

Calling all Firefly players! I play Simon Tam at paradisa and Kaylee Frye at thoughtformed, and I would adore some castmates for both. Paradisa just got a Wash and Zoe a few weeks ago; Kaylee has been a lone canon warrior for quite some time now, however.

Anybody for either of them would be great! I'd especially love River or Kaylee for Simon, and perhaps Simon, Inara or Mal for Kaylee.

thoughtformed is a panfandom game. Your character wakes up on an island called New Moore and is told that they were once fictional, but have suddenly become real and must live on New Moore and learn how to be real! How long does that take? ... They'll get back to you on that. Gameplay tends toward slice-of-life, though there are events at least once (usually twice) a month that are a good mix of silly and serious and player plots are welcomed as well. Like, say, the Magical Girl event starting soon... [as of the time of this posting] Pacing is typically slow unless there's an event going on, and backtagging is welcome. Activity requirements are: One network post per month, plus an additional requirement- either a second network post, a log, or a comment thread with 10 comments from your character.

paradisa is also a panfandom game, set in a castle and the surrounding town. It provides everything your character needs, but upon being brought there, they permanently lose something (chosen by the player- it can be an ability, an item, a memory, as long as it's something the character values). Gameplay- There's always something to do, both with events and with characters getting up to things on their own that are open to others. Pacing is usually about medium, though when there's an event going on, it can pick up. Activity is two posts a month (either network posts and/or logs), though if you don't meet that requirement, you can make it up with threads.

exitvoid has a Wolfwood. There's a strong meta plot with lots of other things to do. The taken list has a great mix of mediums and moralities and there's no real laws in the setting. Reserves open Dec. 2nd. If you're up for a horror game, it might be what you're looking for.

Tower of Animus is a mid-size, medium paced, AU-friendly panfandom horror game, which takes place in a mysterious tower. After being told their worlds are gone, characters must figure out why they're here and how to escape. Are their homes really entirely gone, or is this a lie meant to make them more complacent? And if this is supposed to be a new home, why is it so dangerous? Hopefully the mysteries of this tower will be revealed, and an escape route made.

Seriously! We'll shower you in love no matter who you pick up! :D

yo, anons! I'm trying to ease myself back into rping consistently in a game, and figured that a small, slow game was the place to start. I'm looking to play an OC of mine, so a game that allows OCs (and hopefully is also friendly to them) is what I'm in the market for.

other things:

- no smut or au games (memloss might be okay)
- I'm leaning toward a setting where there's total power nerfing (but still some way for a character to defend themselves should action-y stuff happen) but a regular jamjar with powers allowed are also okay
- comm based, please

witchesreign is tiny, slow, memloss optional and OC friendly! No power nerfing, but it's based around a mercenary school so characters would learn how to defend themselves anyway.

gargleblasted has a decent number of players but nowadays runs at a slow to medium pace (there are usually only four or less posts a day unless something happens in-game to make the post count peak). It's comm based game with no power nerfing.

We only have four or five OCs at the moment, but the game is very welcoming of them. As long as your posts are engaging enough and you make sure to tag out, you should hopefully get a fair amount of tags. I haven't had any issues at all with getting tags or CR with my own original character, and we're also very backtag friendly, if that helps.

What I am looking for is a game that is its own universe, where all the characters are OCs created specifically for that universe.

This was very common when I was into forum RP but I haven't seen it much journalside and I really miss that kind of game.

What sort of game are you looking for? There are a few around that would allow that kind of PC-protagonist, iirc, but they might not all be a good fit depending on your preferences.

I'm looking for a character to play that would be more upbeat/cheerful/affectionate and be chill with being in a smut game or working in a brothel setting. Basically, no hangups when it comes to sex/smut.

I want to break out of the typical mold I RP a bit, which is mostly tsunderes.

Dos:
- DW only
- Medium- to slow-paced game
- Easy AC so we're more focused on the tags and less on activity
- Horror or darker themes for Pitch to feed off of
- Some kind of plot! It don't have to be the forefront 100% of the time, but we don't want stagnation to be a likely thing

NARUTO @ Route 29

route_29 is a dreamwidth journal-based game based on the Pokemon games - namely, the Johto and Kanto regions of Heart Gold and Soul Silver (although all non-legendary pokemon up to 5th generation are currently available). The game is medium-sized, panfandom and relatively laid back, with both slice of life elements mixed in with a greater plot in mind for everyone there.

You can join as a pokemon trainer, a breeder, or a member of Team Rocket (who does play a surprisingly large role in the game, filled with moderated events and player-plots alike). Customize your pokemon team for your purposes, travel around, make friends and just have fun!

Notes about the game:
- Journal-based on Dreamwidth
- Medium-Pacing
- Activity Check of 30 comments (15 from you) per month
- Slice of life and plot elements in balance
- Semi-Monthly app cycles (applications checked on the 1st and 3rd weekends of every month)
- Full power loss, memories kept
- Panfandom, no AUs or alternates*
- PG-13 game rating, no death

*Some exceptions, noted on the FAQ

And now, onto who I want. Basically, I want castmates. I don't particularly care who. There are some I would jump for more than others, but I'm not super picky over it.

Who we have at Route: Sasuke Uchiha (Pre-defection)
Who I want: EVERYONE. Specifically, the Konoha 11 plus teachers, any suna nin, sound nin, kages, akatsuki, Haku and Zabuza, and just everyone okay? Canon point means nothing to me, so app from whenever in the series you want. Chances are, if the character has enough canon background to them, you should be able to app them in just fine.

I'll admit, before Route I was hesitant on journal games (having only played in comm-based before). If you're looking to try out journal based, Route is a great place to start.
