Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.


Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. We don't need several threads soliciting photo evidence of body parts, and we already know that we only care about yaoi. Failure to comply will only result in deletions and butthurt. So aside from [personal profile] silvercrystal, does anyone else know where to get Black Rock Shooter icons? Specifically of Mato Kuroi from both the OVA and the anime.

I know this may come off as a silly question, but what is the best way to make a sprite (video game, specifically) icon? I know there has been some complaints in the past, so I'm curious.

It says it is working, but has anyone been able to upload icons on insane journal with journal watcher? I've even tried some other upload programs. Nada. With Journal Watcher, though, I tried uploading with Dreamwidth, just to be safe, and that worked.

Maybe something with a train or subway theme? That's the most theme-heavy example I can think of from my in-game characters!

Good luck with your practice altogether, though! I should practice html in general, myself.

was wondering if you could do a cr chart for me actually! with rounded icons if that's possible but not circles, like the corners only. something playing card theme as in hearts = lovers, spades = enemies, clubs = friends, diamonds = business and etc.

something. er. how to say this? not together when it comes to coding? single at a time to make it easier to add in additions and stuff.

i used ♠ and ♦ for the black and red 'cards', respectively. you can also replace them with any other symbol you want, and change around the colors as you want.

Howdy again! I was wondering if you were still practicing/playing around with stuff! I have a pretty okay CR chart right now, but I'd definitely like to take my Okami sun theme a lot further. I've been messing with some options but I am rather hilariously bad at html in general.

I've attempted a couple different things, like doing the circular icon and making it the "sun" in a Rising Sun sort of theme or attempting to use the scroll theme the game uses (which looks like this, or this).

Do you have a graphics comm, by the way? I'd love to see if you have more stuff on display!

favorite icon tutorials?

Any icon tutorials you find the best all-around for nice-looking but not too eye-burningly fancy RP icons? I'd like to have some actions to run things through to speed up the process of making the piles of icons I have to make, and as much as I like bright colors and luminosity layers I'm pretty sure my normal methods will cause eye injuries if I use them for 100+ icon sets...

I really do fancy fromthewins, a stock icon community at LJ, a lot! Her work is fantastic and I'm certain it works for other types of icons too.

Yes, but basically you'll want to make the whole thing a table and cut the top off, then the side, then the middle...
