This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I have the exact opposite experience lol. I can do my tags and like four people will have responded before I'm even finished. it probably depends on your cr circle, I must be threading with a really active bunch

it's enormous and there's a ton of really active players, it's not slow at all. Besides that, it seems to be a kind of make-your-own-experience thing. You can either get involved in the Fae politics or not. Events are pretty SOL right now, but there seems to be a meta plot that's building up. Mods are great, and very willing to let you have a lot of creative fun with the setting

I feel you, anon. I've 100% had PBs ruined for me because they seem to be only ever used for terrible shittily written OCs (this is mostly a non-dwrp experience, though). The Teen Wolf cast, Andy Biersack, Nina Dobrev, a lot of CW actors, etc

i made a lot of new friends today and have three new psls going, life is good.

Today was my birthday and i got to chill and listen to a thunderstorm and had no responsibilities to deal with whatsoever. It was amazing.

you can get plenty of smut in a sex game but you might need to be proactive about it and avoid the kinds of players who think that every smut interaction needs to start with 10+ tags of the characters getting dinner and drinks first

Not at all dark mission type or whatever like what it says on the tin. Whoever is finding dark elements and serious missions should share with the class other than "dig into it and make your own fun!"

this is still a skill issue thing bc every smut thread i've done does in fact start with 10+ tags of build up, gets another good 10-20 of actual fucking, and then has an at least 20 or more comment afterglow + potential round 2. you CAN actually have your cake and eat it too if you like writing it enough.

just be proactive and engage with the people you're writing smut with. be attentive to what they like and let them know what you like.

I made a new rp buddy and realized that they also play a character that ghosted a different journal of mine.

I'm not mad about the ghosting, but there are like 2 whole people who rp our characters so it's not hard to guess which one I am if I admit to playing them.

I am not sure if I want to tell them I play that person? I don't want to be like 'oh yes haha we threaded seven months ago and you ghosted me', like I have been pressed up against the glass waiting ever since.

But on the flipside if they find out I play that character, having not mentioned it seems way weirder and more sinister.

Anon out here coming for my head, lmao. TBH most of my smutty meme threads also start this way so meme v games isn't a reliable way to avoid this.

I think if the game's premise appeals to you, and if you think you're going to have a good time, it's worth trying out. Ymmv depending who you play a ton of other factors but people in sex games are pretty reliably there to write sex.

sure it's totally doable with the right people! but ime those 10+ tags of buildup take 2 - 3 weeks at least to actually get through at which point the event has dropped or apps have happened and the tags get slower and slower, then the actual fucking takes another month to play out. maybe i've had bad luck but these days i tell my thread partners i would rather skip straight to the smut or even a mid fuck thread. it's a shame to miss out on the character building conversation but sometimes you actually want to rp smut in a smut game you know?

but if you have a good partner who tags fast enough and can boomerang with you for a few days you can definitely get through a lot like that.

i think you're overthinking. plenty of people drop threads here without it being a specific i don't want to play with you situation. as long as they didn't tell you to fuck off and just ghosted, then it could be anything from them no longer feeling that character, just losing interest in the thread, getting busy...

if it comes up you play the character just be chill and say you do. there's no reason to bring up the thread you previously had or anything. i don't think it's sinister to not bring it up if you're playing entirely different people with them currently.
