Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.

a few months ago someone advertised asking for someone to play a specific ship with that i had never gotten to play before and was into trying out. messaged them about it and never got a response back.

Hi anon, I did this once earlier this year but I did it during a time where I wasn’t sure if I was going to come back to dwrp or not. I finally did decide to come back and reached out immediately to the person, several months too late :( maybe the other person was going through this too?

sadly I've seen them around doing stuff on bakerstreet since so it's more like "what on earth about my pm was off putting, it seemed normal to me"

Clasps hands in solidarity, I responded to a rare kink add with something I'd have loved to play to no reply... but we just gotta put it behind us. There's no telling why they didn't reply rlly. Maybe real life got overwhelming, maybe our overtures were offputting somehow, maybe they felt too shy to follow up even though they broached the topic. Anything could have happened.

Just try not to think about it too much anon :( it's easy to drive yourself nuts second-guessing things in this hobby. Better to move on and look for new opportunities.
