Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

something I've been reading around writer tumblr might help you with this, anon.

the advice that's been going around is- stop thinking about what is ic/ooc for your character. Instead, think about what circumstances would make it IC for your character.

for example, maybe your character literally hasnt left their apartment in four years and has everything delivered, and lashes out at others who try to get them to leave. what circumstances would have to be forced in order to get them to step outside again? Do they end up sleepwalking? did their power go out for multiple days depriving them of their connection to the outside world and now they have to venture out for toilet paper?

on a more rp scale you really gotta dig in there, though. "My character would never sign up for a kissing booth" should become "what desperate circumstances would have to happen in order for my character to sign up for and show up for this kissing booth?"

when I've followed the advice I've been able to come up with fun stuff for even my least social muses, so I hope you can make use of it too
