This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. there are games that require LA PBs though. Most of them are started by people used to insanejournal but they exist and no one is causing drama about them.

Omg, every time I think about LA PB games, i think about this one game (well over 10 years ago) where there was an ichigo and a rukia, and both of their LA PBs were white

I was in a Bleach RP with a lot of white PBs, but it was an AU set in the American music industry, so most of the characters were white Americans. It was kind of common then.

yeah and depending on op's definition of a flop, "game that has an obscure handful of players more used to a non-dwrp platform" probably still counts as a flop for the purposes of this thread

nobody's gonna stop them from building their anime-only zone, but by the looks of this whole thread, most of conventional dwrp won't care for it and they'll have to settle for having either a pretty small game or a private box to their tastes. nothing wrong with these things, btw, it just means it's not exactly gonna be the next public rp smash hit

lbr most players here have probably gotten their share of disparaging treatment over their medium of preference and/or attempts to reach across the divide in the past, so like. yeah there's gonna be some resentment there, reasonable or not

whether it's la-only players turning up their noses at childish/immersion-breaking/lolishit anime players, or anime-only players turning up their noses at pig-ugly/basically-rpf/actor-sexualizing la players, neither vibe is great to bring into a hobby where crosscanon and crossmedium alike are seen as norms. saying you want to make a game cutting out one medium or another because you think "rping with icons like that is weird" probably just adds to that disparaging impression for a lot of people
