The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. people get all up in arms about the crime of not wanting to rp with child/teen characters but THIS is why i don't want to rp with child/teen characters: the players are all screwed up about how they view minors and i don't want any contact with them. sorry this kid isn't hot enough for you!

the sorry dude was to the kid in question for finding him ugly, which was a passing observation based on a couple of caps on google. he's ugly, it doesn't ruin my day, but i am gonna comment on his weird face just like i've commented on benedict cumberbatch's weird face. if someone wants to rp billy and hates the actor they can play from the comics, it isn't as though the tv series is their only option

it means that people can declare that finding certain grown-ass adults attractive is still icky because "they look like children" aka they're shorter and smaller than an average adult, or have a baby face in some way, etc

for the most part i see it on twitter, like the fucking purity police over there screaming about how grown ass adults around the same age dating is "pedophilia" because one of them is "minor coded" i.e. they look younger than their actual age.

i've seen people in real life flip out over grown adult relationships because 'minor coded'. like a 6'8 man dating a 4'11 or 5'0ish woman and it's 'well, he must be into kids because she's practically a kid compared to him'. and as someone that has had a babyface my whole life (in my mid forties now) and still get id'd in a country with a lower age of legalization than the us, it's a pain in the ass. and it makes me realize what 'minor coded' really is, when grown men were hitting on me when i was 14 with huge tits but a babyface. so they figured they'd get the best of both worlds, (adult body, baby face) but that was back when i was actually a minor.

adults who look young already have a burden to drag around with them. calling all their romantic partners 'pedophiles because of optics' is a dick move.
