rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I always thought LA-Adjacent would be like MCU's Rocket Raccoon. Technically a live action movie, even if that particular character is five ping pong balls taped to a morph suit.

I think that's just considered la. I usually see LA adjacent used to refer to vidya with a "realistic" style.

I sure wish I could do this to escape the drama shadow of a similar situation, but I don't want to ghost and then lie to anyone I currently play with. Honestly I don't think I COULD because I'm one of those fools who actually considers many of my rp buddies to be my actual friends.

The only way I’d find it acceptable is if someone is in a multifaith relationship. Esp if there’s kids. And hopefully the partner/s are just as involved in Passover/Yom Kippur/etc.

milliways has players who have grudges against each other still? for sure thought everyone in mways was fondly nostalgic toward everyone else now ... what other game has been around that long. or is it not a journal game.

Just to add more data to this thread, every US medical school I can think of doesn't actually have grades. You fail, you pass or you pass with honors. Some courses will matter with some residencies whether a candidate got honors or not, but all that stuff is different for each program. Some programs have tried to add grades with multiple levels of distinction. Some programs are still just 100% pass/fail.

Both medical and nursing schools accept substantially more people than they expect to graduate and pyramid students out. This is where the phrases about eating their young originate. It is also why the US has terrible shortages of primary care staff.

yeah I'm a book and podcast player mostly so I use PBs but am happy to tag with whatever medium and I've really never run into the medium divide people talk about on here. It may not be as big a deal as a few louder voices think it is. Or it's a huge deal to some games/circles and a nothing to others. RPA also doesn't represent everyone who plays on dw by a landslide, so who really knows.
