Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.

from what I've been seeing it's apparently huge in Japan, but I'm getting this like thirdhand so no idea if it's actually the truth.

it's the most popular ship in the fandom on ao3 with 3,193 entries - the second most popular is akai and amuro with 1,400, and third is shinichi and ran with 897
and as anon above said, it's massive in japan, with a whopping 15,971 entries in the ship tag on pixiv

and "cousins who don't even know their cousins and didn't even know the other existed until they were like 16" doesn't even register to me on the fucked up incest scale. i'm pretty sure anime has canon romantic couples who grew up knowing they were cousins.

very few characters in fruits basket are actually related. belonging to the same clan =/= belonging to the same family, this distinction was lost in the english translation

DA- I found it too, in case anyone else is curious. Tbh even if you aren't into Fruits Basket it's an interesting read if only for explanation on clans vs ie systems as the legality thereof.
