i can't imagine what else "not allowed to RP publicly" could possibly mean

it means 'if i'm seen topleveling or tagging anywhere in public spaces, it incurs the wrath of the person i've had a falling out with, no matter how much i try to stay away from them'

i'm just venting and didn't want to bring out any particulars on the low chance they're browsing here, since it's private and messy business, even if it happened a long time ago now

if people are harassing you from bakerstreet, you could report them to the mods

i primarily get my play from memes and though i dont know the whole story if theyre acting like this id rather not share space with them at all

+1 if you have receipts this could be worth it, though i understand you may not want to do that in case it results in more harassment or brings the harassment to spaces outside of dwrp.

fwiw your situation sounds difficult and very shitty, and if i were you i would simply block them everywhere, continue to block new accounts as they're made if they choose to target you, and so on. the key is to not engage, in any way. the guilt you're feeling is neither serving you nor this other party, who clearly needs to move on, let go, and get some therapy. nothing, no matter how bad, warrants this kind of behavior from another person.

i don't know if this reframing will help, but think that there are others out there who would probably like to write with you if they knew you existed, and that this person is depriving you and these other people of that particular joy.

also, if this person is one of those types who slides into others' dms to warn them about particular players, i cannot tell you how much it pays to avoid people who take that sort of thing at face value or who would otherwise engage with a sockpuppet account that does this sort of thing. i guarantee you anybody who is worth writing with and getting to know on a personal level in this hobby will either ignore such messages entirely or do their own research, privately, without following up with the creepy sockpuppet. so if you "lose" anybody on account of that sort of harassment, it's not really a loss. you don't have anything to fear from it other than the trash taking itself out. other anons may disagree, but this heuristic has worked well for me.

i'm not sure how to respond right now other than to thank you and the above anon for your sentiments (genuinely, i do appreciate it, i'm just not sure how else to reply)

also we do not communicate/interact through dw, so some of that sadly doesn't apply, but i'll keep all of it in mind in case it ever changes, they start to confront me on here as well, etc.

for the most part the present issue is my own guilt, and less so any potential/future repercussions of simply trying to tag on here, maybe ship with a few people, and so on

original "report them" anon and 100 percent if they are harassing you because they see you on bakerstreet you can bring receipts from other platforms where theyre contacting you to the mods and see if anything can be done

also i dont know what your situation is fully and i dont know what the source of that guilt is but being able to do shit normally without feeling like some falling out is standing on your neck is probably also key to getting through that, anon
