still looking for a game to put either of my DP lads in! i have this bureaucratic clown as well as cpt. lim over at tennisgrip. using the small tag because this is a lot of text. it's not a suuuper well-known or popular canon, so the basic gist of the two is as follows.

their shared canon is DP - about the guys in the SK army who get sent out into the civilian world to hunt down deserters. it's a tonally dark critique of the military/the military's culture of abuse and SA and related coverups, very similar to the first half of full metal jacket or M*A*S*H in the show's bleakest moments.

general character beats—

cpt. lim: 30something career officer in a military police unit which recently covered up some truly heinous abuse and assault that ended in tragedy and a media frenzy. at first glance gives the impression of an unfavorable commissioned officer stereotype (tom lehrer fans, think of the bit about the officer candidate in 'it makes a fellow proud to be a soldier')- he's from an affluent family, he can be pretty clueless, is preoccupied with his career and playing politics in the military bureaucracy, and has his moments of being snotty to his NCOs. his character arc involves straddling the line between preserving his career by being appeasing toward his superiors and doing what he knows is right, eventually placing his morality above his desire to advance in the army.

gen. gu: the judge advocate general of the south korean army. he's benefited from the military as it is and his job description is to protect it from press attention and legal cases involving its negligence and abuse. expertly projects a warm, fair, father-to-the-men image, but in reality he's callous, absolutely ruthless in the measures he takes to prevent reform or scrutiny, and incredibly conniving. he'll do anything to preserve the institution that gives him his power and career, and he knows exactly how to appeal to the press and the public.

general prefs:
— no memloss, au, pure SOL
— a characterbase that skews older (30+) is a huge plus, as are having a handful of characters around with similar military backgrounds.
— horror is a fave, as are darker sexgames; small games are preferred but not necessary
— no monster transformation
— iffy on space games; not really into the star trek model where it's about exciting exploration/promising new worlds - more into space from the 'it's a cold and unforgiving void and that creates danger' angle.
— something post-apocalyptic could be really fun with him but idk if anything like that is out there.

any thoughts are appreciated! also lowkey surfing for PSLs if anyone's interested in crosscanon or playing from DP - especially if any of the handful of people i saw playing from JAG or M*A*S*H a few months back are still around!

60's horrorgame (potential) mod here again, still workshopping! This time: what quintessentially 60s horror movies would you want to see tone and possibly elements from in a game?

(For those who haven't seen the other convo, I'm tossing around the idea of doing a small invite-based (with option to req invites from mod) suburban 1960s horror game that leans heavily into the forced family, stepford wives, 'something's not right here and these cheery NPCs aren't telling the whole story' vibes. It would draw from the innate horror of a lot of the real overarching events from the 60s - rampant pollution/lack of regulation, suffocating gender roles, mass paranoia, mccarthyism/the associated witch-hunt, and nuclear panic.)

Hello, I play immortal space milf billionaire Tilda van der Meer here, and I'm looking for Aloy and Beta players to bounce off of. honestly, I'm primarily interested in exploring and expanding the various aspects of her dynamic with these two, postcanon/canon divergences (bad ends, Tilda finding Aloy in the first game, for example) precanon, aus, what-ifs, etc. For Aloy in particular, I am also shamelessly seeking that weird ass obsessive ship/smut vibe Tilda has with her, but I'm fine with keeping this unrequited. I play Aloy (seeker) and I'm voicetesting Beta, so on the slim chance someone else out there plays Tilda, I'm fine with playing either of the baby genuises instead.

For Tilda, I'm also seeking out more f/f shipping/smut. Slow burn romance (?), FWBs, rivalmances, antagonistic sex, Tilda gaslighting gatekeeping girlbossing another woman, I'm up for whatever! I've gotten some excellent bites on bakerstreet but I'd love to do something more longterm. She's not an easy character to ship with, and her whole vibe is atrocious as she reveals more of herself, so anyone willing to play with the more unpleasant aspects of her character would be awesome. I have prefs/info/kinks in her journal. canon, crosscanon, crossmedium and ocs are all good with me. My only ask is that characters be at least 21 (with the exception of Aloy).

In addition, I've been playing/voicetesting various other characters from the Horizon ZD/FW cast, so I'd love to play off more castmates! I'll consider games as well, though you'd have to bear with me because it's been a while. I have been testing out Zo in addition to Beta and Tilda, and I've been playing Aloy for a while. I'm looking to play a scene (or longer PSL) where a mom and her underage daughter fuck. That's like all the specifics, obviously can play with some other stuff.

One scenario to toss out: Our main character is a single mom of a daughter. Her big secret shames are that she's attracted to younger people and she's gay. (Maybe that last one isn't a shame, maybe she's out and the daughter just happened to come from a fling). Either way, despite her attraction to younger girls, she's managed to restrain herself from ever trying anything with her daughter.

...until her daughter comes back from a sleepover having been taught some very interesting things by the other girls there and asks her mom about them, at which point her mom can't hold herself back anymore and decides to give her hands-on instruction.

Anyway, that's just one scenario. I'm down for full con, I'm down for noncon, I'm down for BDSM, I'm down for them to be forced into it because the mom lost a bet, I'm down for any variable you want! As long as we avoid the usual nos (and rimming, which squicks me the hell out) I'm gucci, friends.

I'd like to play the daughter a little more the mom but I'm fine either way. Drawn/CG characters or no-icon accounts only for underage characters. Any age is fine for me, I'd like it to be maybe under 15 because otherwise what's the point but I don't really have a big preference.

season 2 has brought my DP feelings back in full force, especially with the evolution of ji-seop and beom-gu's relationship - them getting closer, the handsiness, the new revelations about deeply personal elements of their lives, etc. i love their dynamic at all points in their arc, tbh, and have a bunch of ideas for different points in the series depending on what you're feeling. definitely love the UST/URT and forbidden angle of the relationship, and would really enjoy doing something slowburn. keeping this ad vague to avoid spoiling s2 for people, but would love to discuss in detail one-on-one, as well as hear any ideas you might have!

for jun-ho and ho-yeol, i'm craving them dealing with the aftermath of the numerous traumatic events they've experienced together, relying on each other for support, etc, or a more generic 'any point in the storyline' ho-yeol pining for a man who gives off Straightie vibes despite being, unknown to ho-yeol and possibly also to himself, gay. i'm still majorly voicetesting (and assembling icons for) jun-ho over at briquettes, and have him (and cpt lim) on the memes as well!

also just in general, either for gen or ship, i'd love to toss ji-seop against other characters with military backgrounds. i'm flexible on timeline and can au him into whatever point in history one's character is from; mostly i just want him to interact with others with a frame of reference for his world. ship-wise, he tends to go for men who are rougher around the edges and seems to have a preference for guys from working-class backgrounds (and NCOs in particular). not looking to play out dubcon/any large power imbalances within the relationship where rank is concerned, however.

I very desperately need some of my rp friends to understand that a "yes and" is not merely a literal agreement. The "and" part is where you actually pick up the baton being passed to you and do something with it. Add something after the yes. Nothing strangles my interest in a thread faster than my character suggesting or driving some action and it's met with an IC "ya ok," but zero effort to take the thread there. Sweet mercy pls my back isn't strong enough to carry this thing alone.
