rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. it's a real pain in the ass later on too because if you ever want to add more icons you need to give them all tags as well and they can't be the same

I think the only time this has truly ever happened is the fanbases for cancelled cult classics, like the infamous Invader Zim fandom (13 years between releases).

But in general cult classics don't really happen anymore, because the internet makes it so easy for word to spread. It's rare for something to be widely beloved and unsuccessful these days.

many countries (especially america) overproduce too much food, companies literally choose to throw away uneaten food because it's not as profitable, and keeping people desperate means they can't fight back or seek alternative means or address other issues

Yeah, I picked up a morally ambiguous villain from one of my favorite movies to play for a scene in a psl. Didn't expect to like him, but I ended up loving the character and really digging into his motivations. I ended up playing him as a main in a psl that was an off-shoot of the original psl.

I never played him in memes, just that psl/with that partner. I'd do that with others, I think, provided I had the right motivation and reason (and a good partner). I do not regret picking him up, it was some of the best RP I've done.

I did it with a character who is well hated in my favourite tv series. I was hoping to understand her better and stop hating her as much as I did so I could watch the show in full peace

I've been isolated enough to feel my aversion to human interaction trickling back in. I worked really hard over the years to dismantle that so it sucks to be regressing.
