Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Personally I almost never actually spend time prettying up my journal or filling out any optional info pages. I don’t care about that stuff. You can also skip the tdm top level and tag around instead, or even use a meme thread or something for samples and skip the tdm entirely.

you might not care about that stuff but many people in this community have said time and time again they won't even tag people if they don't have an info/permissions post somewhere in their journal

and like. when i'm in a game i personally greatly appreciate when players do go the extra mile and pretty up journals, and make a nice easy to navigate splash page so i don't have to hunt and guess whether i'm about to icly stray into a no no topic with them or waste my time asking if they want to ship it when they have info right there saying yes/no

i think everyone who does does fill out optional info pages would agree that even if they do it for fun/are going to do it anyway, they would be annoyed if someone made a tagging faux pas/obviously didn't look after putting all that time and energy into putting all that info out there for someone else to read.

I prefer getting all my character meta through plurk memes or discord rambling where it can be an interactive experience!

they don't tag people first and in memes where most of the time it's a blank top level

many anons also stated they have no problem tagging someone who has no info post who tags them first, or looks interesting to them
