This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

because you keep saying "no, that's not literally it, i do more" yet when you add more examples... you repeat the same shit

do you not know how examples work or what

like, with the punch bowl thing you were literally trying to correct anon by saying "no i don't do that i do this" and the "this" was another hookless prompt. if that's not what you write, why do you keep repeating it? why give it to op as fucking advice?

no, but they can summarize their prompts in one sentence and still have a hook

if these sentences anon is using are the tldr version of their prompt, then guess what, there's no hook

if the prompt does have hooks, then they should be putting that in the sentence, not the "standing around" part

if i write a character enjoying the day and the hook is them asking your character a question, then the summary is "my character asks yours something" not "my character sits around"

the point of op's comment wants to give advice on how to write more general prompts. this is doable, but their example was horrible. people pointed out that the example was horrible. there is no pedantry in saying "hey, your character just standing around isn't a hook"
