Location-focused memes. Like, I love when the meme maker puts an environment with specifics: An onsen, a restaurant, a speakeasy, a circus, a con, etc.

I kinda want to see an anime/comic convention meme now.

A con meme with options both for AUs and fourth-wall breaking silliness sounds like it could be fun.

I thought about making a series of memes set on famous fictional locations, kind of format it like a multiversal tourism ad and our characters can have whatever reason for being there. Maybe they get a travel package or just there for business. I wanted to make one set on Star Wars' Coruscant for starters.

Since it would be a recurrent meme with different locations, I imagine I could have characters that would become well-traveled tourists either enjoying themselves, or being in danger.

I'm looking at the Alternate Universe meme and seeing lots of blank top levels, and I'm wondering if an AU meme with specific prompts might be more useful? Say there was an "Anime Tropes AU Meme" - that could have prompts like "magical girl AU" or "idol AU" or "master/servant Fate AU." That might give people some ideas.

there already are specific au memes. vampire, werewolf, sentinal, mermaid, hp, fate, blah blah.

they crop up when they need to, but we also don't need fifty different shades of 'so you wanna play an au' meme. the main au meme should do it, but people are lazy af and they could just as easily put up 'aus i'm interested in' prompts. some people do.

similar to other anons mentioning making location-based memes: i've been thinking about making locations based off of dnd planes. once or twice a month, i'd post a new meme offering prompts for a plane focused on the dnd cosmology grid from chaotic evil to lawful good, giving characters a chance to explore themes in addition to a new setting.

i'd be cycling through each plane, so once we'd visited elysium, for example, it would be between half a year and a year before we'd see it again specifically.

what i want to know is: does this seem appealing? if so, would you prefer the meme be set up more traditionally (give 10 short-form prompts and encourage people to muse-dump?) or more like the tdm memes that people are showing interest in lately?
