Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Previously they showed up as different colors to me, and I could read the description for each in the meme. Now they all look red to me. Looks like I'm not the only one.

as someone who browses dwrp via mobile devices primarily, they all show up as red hearts for me, not sure about anyone else. (probably because they're all coding the same one heart with a font color change, which doesn't translate.) likewise, when browsing from mobile, i can't view hover text. back when we had the previous version that used images, tapping and holding the image on mobile would show the alt text (for iphone/ipad at least.) a lot of people i know like to customize their replies with alt text.

i too wish and hope someone can bring back the image heart version, and inb4 "why don't you" i consider trying my hand at it if i can get some free time, just don't know when i'll have the free time to draw up something that extensive.

All the ones I've seen use the heart ascii character and changes the color of the text. Gmail and chrome change that to a pink heart emoji. That's why most people see them in the same color because most people use chrome.

I use firefox as well, but chrome is definitely the majority browser now thanks to stupid decisions Mozilla made that broke many add-ons we use.

you can't turn off analytic/monitoring scripts in chrome. they're built into the browser software. "oh but some of my add-ons broke" fucking cry me a river.

I just changed over to a firefox clone browser that lets me use my add ons. I can use my add ons and my data isn't being sold. Win-win for me.

i legit do not understand some people's absolute dependence on add-ons. i have seen people go into histrionics over lj juggler not working and it's just like... it takes maybe 30 seconds to log into/out of a journal, how is that a big deal?

i wouldn't hate chrome if its internal analytics weren't so fucking invasive on top of it being a constant ram hog (wonder why)

so firefox/waterfox it is. 99% of the add-ons work fine or have a work-around with the exception of lj juggler (which they will probably fix in time!) so if you value your own privacy you're just going to have to get over it
