i would like to find an rp partner, but i don't know how to even start looking. the two i really enjoyed from a long time ago have moved on and we just randomly clicked. haven't had that happen in a long time and when i reach out to people it doesn't go anywhere or threads get dropped.

can't tell if it's just the state of rp now or if i'm just a shitty writer. i don't even know, i'm just depressed and want a friend.

thanks for reaching out, nonny. it has been rough lately, especially since i moved where i don't know anyone so it feels rather isolating.

this isn't going to help you, but i can write anything.

if i had to narrow it down outside of fandom specific things, i am really into post-apocalyptic scenarios ( the struggle to survive, exploring the wastelands, developing a relationship [gen or ship] with another person, and general world-building ). fantasy/d&d type stuff with party dynamics, fighting monsters ( maybe even actually making character sheets and rolling dice ).

oh man i'm sorry, how recently did you move? i hope you were able to get all your stuff brought over before things got bad.

and i love all of that! i'm admittedly only passingly familiar with d&d so i don't know how to do sheets, but i'd be down for dice rolls, that could be a fun element of spontaneity. what do you think about a combo: a fantasy setting that's either post-apocalyptic or just has a lot of wilderness, and our characters end up there somehow and have to team up and rely on each other to survive against both the elements and the strange creatures roaming about while trying to find out more about where they are?

been a few years, but i'm at that awkward age where i'm not in school so i'm not meeting people there. i also have a full time career and i am the youngest person where i work, so nothing really clicked there outside of work friendships.

boy i feel you. i keep trying to tag out to people and they always seem excited when we're plotting and for the first several tags, and then they just... disappear. i don't mind waiting for tags and i wouldn't even be upset if they just plain weren't feeling the thread anymore, but being ghosted kind of hurts because i have no idea if it's because i did something wrong. if i'm doing something wrong, how can i fix it if no one will tell me what'm doing wrong?
