shittier character designs, for one.

most of the female characters have doughy, childlike faces regardless of what they're physically shaped like, but it gets especially bad for the cherub character who is clearly an aim to appeal to a certain kind of audience.

instead of one guy getting chased by a dozen or so girls who want to be his One True Love at least interspecies reviewers is about a group of guys who just want to get their dick wet (and do). which is something actually different from the generic harem anime from the past 30 years.

i'm sorry but monster musume is essentially tenchi but with monster girls instead of space aliens.

there are multiple male characters as opposed to one, yes, but almost the entire series focuses largely on stunk and sometimes zel. it's still a harem anime and you're being willfully obtuse if you're trying to tell people otherwise.

generally, shit gets labeled harem if there's a single guy involved in sexual and/or romantic entanglement with multiple women, but in porn, all it needs is the sex to be categorized under harem.

the "harem end" of pretty much every nukige is just a sex scene with multiple women, and interspecies reviewers is basically nukige in manga form.

monster musume is the better show because it has generally more likeable characters and the women aren't drawn to look like fucking children with tits slapped on.

that's fair. tbh my biggest issue with ir is definitely the character designs more than anything to do with the story or plot, and that's always going to be a ymmv thing.

It's... not even a harem anime. It's a group of horny dudes reviewing different monster brothels with softcore on-screen fucking. Simple and to the point and it doesn't take itself too seriously.

no monster-girl series takes itself seriously.

also almost the entire series revolves around stunk, with zel sometimes getting his own spotlight, and the other male characters getting a couple of panels at most, it's still a single horny dude and multiple female monsters (that as an other anon said, all have weird doughy kid faces) at its core.

I'd argue that Crim's getting the most spotlight, but whatever. I like this goofy monsterfuck-of-the-week anime, you don't, that's fine.

tbh crim is definitely why i enjoy the series, from how he keeps getting dragged along with the hijinks to the reactions to his ginormous dick.

I'd never tout monster musume as 'good' but the creator clearly understands my taste in trash and delivers, which frankly is all I'd ever ask for from a harem series.
