also in retrospect mods have always been a little weird about ignoring certain mechanics of the game or player suggestions. when it first opened up there was a vocal minority very insistent it DEFINITELY WASN'T A NAUGHTY SINFUL SEX GAME!!! even though all the game events were much more focused on moon blessings and ways to facilitate chroma production

maybe this is the mods catering to that after they gave each moon a chance to shine and establish for the early game events

It’d be nice to strike a balance. Main event, with one prompt outside of it that other people can respond to if they aren’t into the big thing. Doesn’t have to be huge. For example, with this event, there could have also been a side option of “if this isn’t your thing, there’s also a big bazaar opening on the other side of the city with rare and exotic spices, some have special effects some for good cooking some will give your character terrible allergies for days.”

tbh they could always make the tdm prompts less plot-involved and the actual in-game event more moonblessing-focused, then people could pick and choose what they want to get their logs up about. idk the current events are so bland i haven't done anything event-related in ages and all of the current threads i have are just people doing whatever the fuck, it's pretty bad

dude the MODS were pushing that aspect.

remember when they changed the bracelets so they had to be consensually put on? people were like oh i was looking forward to unexpectedly giving my characters additions. they were like nO!! THEY ARE BLESSINGS!!! THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING BAD (but you can have it fall on your character's head)

it's like they could have taken the dystopian aspect and did everything they could to push that it wasn't a dystopia. which, fair, but also lame.
