I'm looking to play someone who is totally axe crazy. He used to be one of the good guys, but years of magical and mental torture has left him thinking the good guys are the bad guys and now he lives to kill them.

How crazy is too crazy with a character like this? Is yelling blood and murder everywhere the way to go or is it okay to include moments of sanity? Like having them hesitate or second guess themselves at times, little moments of clarity. Any other advice for playing characters like this would be appreciated!

F/M or F/X princess/bodyguard - ust, forbidden, other kinks possible

Reposting since I hit the tail end of last post.

A princess is due to be shipped off into an arranged marriage soon, leaving behind her kingdom and her longtime bodyguard (as she will receive new guards in her fiance's court.) The two have a great deal of UST but have thus far resisted. One week before the princess is due to leave, they finally give in and have sex. The bodyguard comes back and they sleep together again the next few nights and finally, the two decide to run away together. If our characters hit it off I would love to make this a longer psl following them as they escape.

I would love any sort of fantasy or even sci-fi scenario for this, and am open to a wide variety of kinks. Here are a few optional twists we could run with, if you like:

A. The princess and bodyguard are from different species. (I'm down with any version of this, so long as both characters are sapient.)

B. The bodyguard is the princess' brother. (Perhaps princes are less valued than princesses in this culture.)

C. The bodyguard is significantly older than the princess (though she will be at least 18.)

I can play either role, with a slight preference for the princess. Any medium is fine, fandom or OCs, icons or none.

The delinquent with a heart of gold is probably my favorite archetype. As long as they're an actual delinquent/trouble-maker instead of just a rough-looking shounen protag type who gets mistaken for one. Less Ichigo Kurosaki, more Yusuke Urameshi or Arisa Uotani. I would love some recommendations with these well intentioned terrors if you guys can think of any, no matter genre or medium!

how necessary is it to have plurk and/or discord for rp? i've just been playing on memes and using pms when i needed to talk to someone about a thread, but a lot of people have plurk/discord listed on their journals. i'm not in any games, though i'm thinking about maybe trying to join one eventually, but even if i don't, i don't want to seem unapproachable or unfriendly. any advice or suggestions would be very appreciated.

Help me out, anons. I have my RP mains I think I am decent at and I have been praised for my portrayal of them. However, I also like to make a new journal for someone I have not played before and jump straight into a meme thread if I see a potential castmate.

Sometimes I do well, sometimes not and sometimes it is hard for me to gauge. It occurred to me that it might be unfair of me to those posting to memes to give them untested portrayal of character I am unsure I can deliver. Should I just stick to my mains instead?
