what YouTube channels have you come across lately? share the ones you've liked!

i'm binge watching debrajoy. we have nothing in common but she's adorable and she makes me laugh

look her up if you like cute, old ladies

Ace of Clay!

A really nice and funny dude and super talented with all the sculptures he makes. Everything is made from pretty simple materials and he's super chill about helping people out where they might need it.

Also it's fascinating watching just write and foil being turned into a full clay piece.

RELEVANT TO MY INTERESTS. gonna have to check this dude out, thanks, anon!

have you ever watched Dr. Garuda? he has a bunch of videos of him sculpting MCU characters (and a few others, like John Wick) that are amazing to watch. my favorite is his Doctor Strange figure with like a dozen fully-detailed arms. if you like watching sculptors do their thing, i recommend giving him a look.

I've been watching aavak play through Rimworld and found it very enjoyable. He's thorough and pays attention to the game, and his commentary is calm.

I also found the Internet Historian and while they don't have many videos up, I liked all the ones I did see.

Anything by Dan Bell is really good! I really enjoy his Another Dirty Room series. Not for the squeamish though, as in if you can’t handle seeing bugs/vomit/pee spots/blood/god knows what else in nasty hotel rooms maybe avoid it and try the Dead Mall series instead.

Jaboody Dubs is also hilarious. Lots of dubbed over commercials, movie clips, tv shows and videos. Some of their humor can be pretty crude, so it’s not for everyone, but I find them entertaining.

Ashens does funny reviews of cheap junk/electronics/food on his channel. I enjoy his content quite a bit.

Ralphthemoviemaker and Yourmoviesucksdotorg are both funny movie review channels. Ralph doesn’t upload much anymore but his old stuff is gold. I Hate Everything is funny too, but I tend to disagree on his opinions more.

Viva La Dirt League has some hilarious skits. I particularly enjoy the Epic Npc Man series cause I used to be a former hardcore WoW player and the humor is spot on.

ProZD has funny skits and product reviews. He’s just a fun guy all around.

Exotics Lair has fun videos that have changed my opinion of tarantulas, but he also has cool snake/lizard videos. He’s a very endearing person imo.

Oh! I wanted to mention a couple more!

LGR is great for fun thrift store videos and PC game reviews. I grew up playing PC games and he's done videos on a few of the oldies that I thought I'd never find info on again, so that's fun! I'm not really into computers themselves though so the more involved computer videos he does are ones I tend to skip.

The Proper People do cool urban exploration videos. I haven't caught up on their newer stuff but a lot of their videos are really interesting!

Retail Archaeology is another guy that does dead malls/dying retail chains and such. His videos are relaxing to watch.

As someone who’s really into computer stuff I can vouch for LGR’s computer videos. They’re great if you’re into that. His review of the game Ninja Nanny is one of my favorite videos on YouTube as well.

Seconding Dan Bell and Ashens too.

absolutely love LGRs stuff. His passion for old electronic devices that have wood paneling is adorable

(Anonymous) 2019-10-13 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
i know dick-all about computer hardware but some of LGR's videos are enjoyable simply because of how enthusiastic he is about that kind of thing. did you watch the one where he visited a huge warehouse full of old electronics? i had no clue as to the significance of any of the stuff he was exulting over but it was cute to see him so tickled over some of his acquisitions. i like seeing people be passionate about the things they're into, i guess.

Proper People and Retail Archaeology sound pretty cool, i'll have to check them out. thanks, anon!

last person i subscribed to out of genuine interest is nitrorad. he does reviews/discussions of horror + quirky games. i like how he presents it in a semi-serious, factual way. he plays the games in their original consoles too! those who play it in emulators can often get weird results due to the emulation and it colours their review.

not only that but he gives the games a fair shot. even if he doesn't like it, personally, he will acknowledge good points and improvements a game has done for the series or the genre its in.

GrayStillPlays. I started watching him for his My Summer Car playthrough but now he mostly does videos where he tries to play games in a completely wrong way. Definitely watch the My Summer Car stuff, check a few of his Sims 4 videos to see if you like them.

brutalmoose. Did a lot of reviews for older nostalgic games like Freddie Fish and Pajama Sam, known for his food review series too. Lotsa of varied content.

Ask A Mortician. Talk about famous corpses, the funeral industry and more.

FoundFlix. Explains the endings to mostly horror films and just film reviews in general.

+1 to brutalmoose. He's the only person I could find that did a Sim Town review and omg the nostalgia. I played that game all the time as a kid.

amberlynn reid. it's a train wreck situation type deal.

Matt McMuscles' "Wha Happun" series is super interesting. He does in-depth looks at games that did poorly and investigates what happened during the development cycle to figure out what went wrong. It's an interesting look into how the gaming industry works when it goes wrong, and he tells in all in a way that's funny and entertaining, as well as informational.

ZFG is a Legend of Zelda speedrunner who's basically mastered the game, and he has a few videos where he plays "randomizer" versions of the game, where all the items are randomized everywhere. It's great to throw on in the background, and as someone who loves the N64 era zelda a lot, they're a blast to watch.

ScarfingScarves is a lolita fashion news channel with probably the sassiest youtuber to ever running the show, and is hilarious whether you're into the fashion or not.
