manga minako is one of my favorite versions!! im so glad ur playing her op

so basically Minako is the one character (other than Usagi) who gets a hefty bit of screentime thanks to her solo series Sailor V and her appearances in Sailor Moon (if you haven't already op, I would definitely encourage you to read Sailor V!!! it covers Minako's transition from schoolgirl to soldier). the 90s anime version of her may seem more bubbly or energetic, but manga-Minako IS actually just as bubbly and love-obsessed. She starts out serious and driven only because she's pretending to be the Moon Princess -- but once she's allowed to resume her true identity, she goes back to kind of being the teenage girl she actually is.

so don't be afraid to play her as cheerful or 'ditzy' or boy-crazy, she IS after all 14-16 (unless u take her from a later canon point) and out of all the senshi, misses being normal the most (hearken back to Sailor V). also important to remember that Minako is in fact the named Leader of the Senshi -- Usagi is Sailor Moon but she's the Princess, so she isn't the actual Leader -- and feels very responsible towards her role (enough that she experiences insecurity when she meets the Outer Senshi and sees how admired they are by her comrades). So she definitely comes off as mature and responsible when she has to be, esp in times of crisis. she's also not afraid of killing or severely injuring her enemies, since she IS a soldier and has been one since a few millennia ago!! that's where she's starkly different from a regular teenage girl -- it's crucial to remember that she has experience fighting in several wars against multiple enemies (depending on the canonpoint you take her from, but even if u take her from the very first she's still fought in the Silver Millennium).

also i feel what's important is Minako's attitude towards love, she might be love-focused and boy-crazy, but at the end of the day her duty is to Usagi first and foremost. She kind of gives up the prospect of ever pursuing a love of her own in Sailor V, and she confirms that later in the Sailor Stars arc. (you can make the argument that she loves her fellow senshi just as equally aka Rei in particular since their relationship is played as romantic?? or at least hinted by it by how the scenes are drawn or structured, but i'll leave that to ur discretion op). She does have feelings towards Kunzite's previous incarnation, or at least is implied to have loved him (which makes for great angst honestly), but again, she doesn't let that stop her from fighting him when she has to.

tl;dr that's more or less the basic gist for minako IMO, honestly she's a very bright, athletic teenage girl who's prone to all ur standard flaws (jealousy, insecurity, an unwillingness to study) but who is above all compassionate and empathetic towards her senshi and other friends, willing to take the reins when called upon and experienced with fighting and death and destruction and loss, but never lets any of that take away from her true self... aka a sailor guardian. if u have any specific questions i'd be happy to go on and on, or someone else could chime in with their thoughts?? anyway GOOD LUCK OP!!! i hope to see you around in rp!!!
