in the game proper the fgo protag is a silent self insert, speaking as someone who played fgo.

eh, they have dialogue options and stuff that actually have a fair amount of personality. they're consistently characterized as extremely nice but insanely goofy and quick to joke around through their dialogue options, and the kind of person to notice tiny details.

It's not exactly a wall-to-wall characterization masterpiece but it's enough to justify apping them to a game, at least as much as, say, a persona protagonist.

anon, those are the standard dialogue options for every silent video game protagonist ever. beyond the occasional dialogue option, original game!ritsuka honestly doesn't have that much of a solid enough foundation as a character for someone to app as imo.

i mean, they have way more goofy options and their goofiness seems more hyped up than a lot of silent video game protags?

and like i said, they aren't an insanely complex character, just that i don't view them any differently than the persona 5 guy.

a character being generic doesn't make then un-appable.
