Okay, first off, it's not just her and her father on the island. Marin & Tarin live in a village with other people, who know & regard her highly: https://zelda.fandom.com/wiki/Mabe_Village

Marin is also totally not shy at all. She gloms onto Link and his Outsiderness quite easily, almost over-sharing how she wants to gtfo the island. She sings for everyone in Mabe to hear, and used to make the long trek to the Animal Village across the Bay to visit and sing for the inhabitants there.

I would suggest maybe finding a decent LP to watch, as you miss a lot of important info and personality just by looking at a walkthrough or reading tv tropes.

I completely agree with you! She shares how much she wants to leave the island in a skit/cutscene. I should’ve reworded it better but I put “in a sense”, I know there’s a village but I meant like cast wise, I feel like Marin and Tarin have a bigger focus.

I have the game, but once I finish it I plan on picking her up! Thank you so much for your kind insight.
