rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

1. not really. there are a couple canons people side-eye because they've been at the center of a lot of things (resident evil comes to mind specifically) but generally we're pretty good about not tarring people with the same brush in that specific way.

2. people might roll their eyes at you for playing from a neckbeardy canon but again, the way you do it is what's going to matter. i remember someone apping a literal hentai character to a game i was in and a lot of us thought ew what a weird kink vehicle, but we tagged them anyway, and they ended up being a really cute character who was well-liked.

4. if you want to actually make friends here i'd say plurk is the way to go about that. it's not necessary for strictly keeping in contact though, lots of people do fine with just discord or even just pms.

5. respect people's preferences, don't whine too much or beg for constant reassurance (being new and needing some guidance is fine), and be willing to put in the work to get the play/cr you want. should be fine after that.

1. That's a relief, though if it happens in any rare occurrences I guess c'est la vie right? I wouldn't blame anyone for their experience being soured, I just hope (and signs seem good!) I can stand alone as a separate thing if that makes any sense.

2. That's reassuring! I'm not going to, say, die on the sword for the canon I know it's eyeroll (imo to the point of laughing) worthy but part of why I want to play the character in RP is to get behind the eyerolling portion of her character and dig deep since it's supposed to be a facade. Also not that it's relevant but you've got me curious: literal hentai like an eroge (Fate/Stay, etc.) or straight up stuff like Bible Black?

5. Absolutely. The way I see it frustrations happen but complaining about them just brings the mood down when it's in a public place, at least ime. And if you don't put in the work you can't expect the payoff right?

i don't remember the canon exactly but i think it was just some ero doujin, not even anything most people would've heard of.

i personally have all three of discord/pm/plurk because i like to be as open as possible, so if you want to then i'd personally suggest it!
