one of my relatives has a dog who recently got this intense wet dog smell, like wet dog smell x10 and keeps insisting he doesn't have to bathe his dog. FUCKING BATHE HIM. "i don't smell anything." "well, dogs are SUPPOSED to smell." "maybe he's happy this way." bitch, keep making excuses and i'll hose YOU down.

he's not coming into my nice clean house with my mostly okay-smelling dog until he gets a bath and i'm not doing it for you. i don't care if you need me for dogsitting/doggy playdates, i literally just deep cleaned my house the other day and i'm wore out.

ugh. i love dogs, but i hate bad dog owners. how hard is it to take care of your pet who you are responsible for? you'd think them being part of your family would be enough.

usually mr. doggo smells fine but somehow he got this rank smell in the past week and my relative keeps arguing against bathing him for whatever stupid reason. it's been raining a ton so maybe he wasn't toweled off enough.

but guess what, i'm not obligated to dogsit when you refuse to bathe your smelly boye and i just deep cleaned my entire house! i'm wore out and in no mood for dog baths.

like... my relative is putting so much effort into throwing a tantrum and gossiping to relatives about what a major bitch i am but it seems so much easier and less stressful to just... bathe your fucking dog?????

they could even pay someone to do it. like, another relative or service or just a kid with a hose. that's just dumb.

if he insists on trying to "win" the "argument" then whatever, he can stew in his buttfury. i think he's having gf troubles atm so maybe he's trying to be a control freak but i'm not obligated to put up with that shit.

i agree. it's the pet owner's right to tell people to deal with it if they come over and the pet jumps up on the couch or exists in the space because it's the pet's home as well, so people coming over have to just deal with the fact there's a pet there and all that comes with it, including smells and fur and whatever. but it's totally not cool to be like 'yeah, you should just be okay with my pet coming over and smelling/existing in your space because otherwise you're a bitch'. like, no. if you wanted a pet, you'd have one. and if you're willing to petsit or have the pet over with the caveat that it be clean beforehand, that's your right. you're entitled to your home being your way and they're entitled to theirs being their way, but if they want a favor from you, the least they could do is just... clean their fucking pet.

i'm betting that they don't want to waste time/money on washing it and they also don't expect to have to pay you for pet sitting, so it could also be that they're that cheap.

lmao i actually watch mr. doggo for free most of the time unless it's one of my busy days. our dogs love to play so i don't mind the excitement when i'm at home and not doing much. keeps them both out of trouble.

he's a good boy and i don't mind, what i DON'T mind is a smelly boy coming over. especially when i just deep cleaned my fucking house! i wouldn't let some rank-ass human into my home either, just fucking give your boy a bath.

omg though you just reminded me: i hate hate haaaaaate when people visit my home and try to enforce their own rules on my dog, like "no dogs on the furniture." motherfucker, it's his home! he's allowed! i once had someone visit and they shoved my dog off my own bed. they got butthurt as hell when i yelled at them for it. "he's going to get fur everywhere!" an animal lives here, there's already fur everywhere lmao
