Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

feeling really unappreciated by my family. i help out with bills and chores, the younger kids, the pets, and other things. i do a lot of thankless unseen tasks. the second i mildly inconvenience someone i get yelled at like it's the end of the world, and that i have no right or place mad about it because my life is "easy".

i all want to hear once in a while is "thanks for doing x" or "you did x really well and it helped me out". i don't want butt pats or thoughtless platitudes. i just want assurance once in a while what i'm doing is worth it and makes a positive difference in someone else's life. that could really keep me going on days like this when i have self doubts about it, if i moved out or disappeared off the face of the earth that no one would miss me or care.

i've lived through this and it's very likely that nothing will change unless you speak up or move out. they might see you as a doormat maid and think you're being a selfish cunt or w/e if you don't do your job right.

if they're anything like my family, you probably get vibes that if you were to die tomorrow, they'd probably bitch "wtf why couldn't anon take the garbage out before dying on the floor!" if that's true, get the fuck out asap.

is there anything tying you down to home? a pet you can't easily move out with, not being able to afford rent on your own, not having reliable transportation, etc?
