rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. Yep, me again.

I've got a ton of original characters I'd like to play in a modern day Japan or SK setting, with my partner having original characters/faceclaims to match. I've got a couple future sci-fi settings as well, but fewer characters for that. I've got humans of many types and occupations (yakuza family son, secretary, idol, etc), as well as a couple supernatural creatures. Specific plots and characters will be hammered out after contact. Right now, I'm leaning towards playing one of my idol OCs.

I pretty much require shipping at some point and I'm only interested in m/m at the moment. Also, I use Discord for OOC chat, and I only roleplay over email. I would like a partner who is open to writing smut, but not as a primary focus. People who are chill and chatty with decent availability but an understanding for needing mental health days are A++.

i've seen you request this a couple of times. i'm wondering if the reason you aren't getting many (or any, i don't know what response you're getting) bites is because you only rp over email.

if you only want to use email, you could mostly get away with that while threading here, which would fit with what most people who rp here prefer. dw lets you reply to comment emails and will post the replies as comments. you would probably only need to log in to make new posts or to send the first reply to one.

I played over DW for a few years before moving over to email, so I do know about being able to reply to comments via email while actually threading on the website. Unfortunately, I'm just really not interested in having any of my stuff on DW anymore. I like the ability to access the RP without internet, having an easy way to read back over everything at once, being able to easily save progress / work on tags while offline, among other things. I know there's ways I could probably get those things to some extent from DW threading, but it just saves time/energy to do it through email instead.

I know that advertising towards doing threads on DW would open me up to more partners, especially considering where I'm advertising, and I probably sound like a stubborn stick in the mud, but it's honestly just a lot easier for where my life is now.
