rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

tbh complaining about the adoption costs seems kind of petty. they probably want to put the other pets on equal ground or get as much funding as they can.

the insanely high standards some of them have are a valid complaint though.

re: buddy cats. are you talking about "these cats had the same owner" or "meowmixie mattel and mewmew imfurst became shelter besties and we refuse to separate two cat queens!"

i don't really know. i know that whenever i go to the spca or cat cafe or vorka (the adoption places around here), they list the cats with their ages, gender, fixed or not, any medical issues, and if the pet should be with or not around dogs/kids. and most of them have a little 'buddy cat' and mention which cat they need to be adopted with. some of them seem to be 'sister/brother', and some of them are buddies. i can't say for sure what the background is on if they're related or previously owned, but it seems to me that if they actually want the cats adopted, they'd offer the option of singular, particularly if they also expect you to pay double for two cats as opposed to one. if i only have the room/expenses for one cat, i don't personally like being cornered or convinced into getting two. i don't want two. i'm clear on not wanting two. but they don't give you the option, and it makes me mad because i've seen the same pairs of cats stay in the adoption centers for longer than they should because of the 'need to be adopted with buddy' rule. it's stupid.
