Hey, this is the OP from the murdergame idea above. So after I read through the anons' thoughts about that idea and the lack of experience in murdergames, I decided that I will turn it into a short-run game.

As for the revised premise, it focuses on Pokemon characters such as trainers, professors, and others from Pokemon Special and games, but with some Persona elements. However, it will have a mix of dimensional travel and AU as the "participants" team up with their AU counterparts from the outside to escape from the captivity.

While it is similar to a murdergame, the main difference is that instead of a murder, the characters have to venture into a mysterious world to save the missing participant similar to Persona 4. If they are rescued, their AU counterparts will gain a Persona.

The idea and mechanics is a bit messy, but I'm hoping to try this kind of short-run game while trying to be acceptable to every player including the Pokemon people who didn't even heard of the Persona series.

As before, any interest in joining this kind of game? And if you have any suggestions to polish the mechanics, then feel free to comment.

Not if you're running it, Runner. Or even on the mod team. I don't have time for your overdramatic bullshit even as a fellow player, I won't join a game where you have actual power to destroy everyone's fun with your over-reactions and guilt tripping at the first whiff of anything like criticism.

The idea for the game isn't bad.

Oh is it them? They are the worst thing about Pokemon fandom on DW. Threading with them is incredibly painful,OOC, full of guilt tripping and it's just generally awful. I'm not surprised this is them.

Regardless of the reason, someone pushy like that has no business modding. End of story.

Even if that's true, they should not be pushing their own well-being on others.

We are not Therapists. We should not have to force ourselves into something we don't enjoy because of a fear of being guilt-tripped. Runner has a pattern of trying to force everyone into bending over backwards for him or else he'll start feeling bad and cry. He abdicated responsibility for his own well-being and fun and push it onto others.

This is not acceptable in real life, this isn't acceptable here.

there's sensitive and too sensitive and runner goes faaaaar beyond that. he's had mods give him strikes for harassing players and he still harassed the players after said strikes. he barges into plurks to make people feel bad for not tagging him. he's been told this and ignores it. he doesn't care about anyone except himself.

and this is coming from someone who used to have cr with him. i thought he was trying his best too and people should give him a chance. than i took a step back and saw how guilt trippy and manipulative he can be. he's not worth whiteknighting or giving a chance at this point tbh.

if you want to avoid actual murder, you could make the game a VR/Matrix type thing where everyone who dies just wakes up at the end.

Okay, I am going to get real with you. This is not being mean, or bullying, or saying anything bad about you but:

You should not be modding a game.

Modding can be pretty stressful, especially in a fast-paced, short-term setting. Honestly, you have shown that you are very sensitive to criticism and get discouraged easily. You will not enjoy modding.

Think about WHY you are so set on creating this? Do you really enjoy the concept and want to bring fun to a lot of people, or are you hoping to get a lot of people to play and tag you?

Because if it's the second one, that's not a good reason to run a game, and being a mod won't automatically mean you'll get that attention you want. You'll just end up frustrated.

Honestly, if you are who we think you are: This really isn't the hobby for you, and again I highly stress I am not saying this to be mean, but there's a collaborative element to the hobby, and part of that is you have to be respectful and listen when other people are talking, instead of inserting what you think they're saying into their mouths (as you had done in the above thread). I think you are better off stepping back from DWRP, write fanfic, or something, where you aren't putting your own wellbeing and happiness on the shoulders of other people.

If this is who I think this is because of how you're acting and writing - Do not mod. You couldn't handle people not tagging you back on time. How will you deal with the stress of modding Runner?
