rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. just pick a pb it's not a big deal

unless they're incredibly unique-looking, you can find a pb that resembles them well enough to serve as a visual representation.

They're either furry OCs, fantasy or sci fi, or ones that would need a type of look that would befit them. I don't look much for PBs anymore since most don't seem to have interesting expressions, or that get to look precisely the way I want them to.

if you're playing a furry oc or someshit then no one cares what it looks like and you're fine, lol, what is this question

if you can save up to commission so much as 3-5 icons those few can take you a really long way! on the front page of rpanons there are often very excellent artists who specialize in exactly that, and their prices are very reasonable. some even take dw points!

hollow-art really doesn't do it for you, for those 2/3 character types? genuine question, not being argumentative. it's pretty vast but it does take a lot of digging. there are also tumblr rp resources for finding faces for characters, some are good.

it's tricky, though. i have a tabletop game character and had to choose between a pb who fit pretty much everything aesthetically but didn't fit the character 100%, or, find art of something similar across the internet which ended up mostly being other people's ocs in reality.

i went with a pb that just fit the aesthetic/vibe, and i've acclimated easily to people not knowing every visual nuance about the character. in the end, it's the story that i'm going for. you might get the same results, you might not. i roleplay with a canon character and the person has one icon and i barely notice, i'm looking to their tag for descriptions and moods, not the icons.

i know it sounds insane but gaiaonline still exists, still has an art freebies board, people still use it. if it netted you one sketch or lineart to make an icon to have something on the account, it's an option. the art on there tends to be p cute and furries are welcome there.
