There is maybe one homophobic straight person in this hobby, and a ton of queer people who have problems with their families because of their queerness or can't be out for one reason or another. Hell, just on my timeline, I have three different people who hate Pride specifically because they had bad coming out experiences/can't come out/are really uncomfortable with the fact they're queer.

Maybe don't assume the worst about people.

Then maybe OP should’ve elaborated and not made it sound like they’re uncomfortable because of the icky gayz.

i read their comment as fairly neutral, myself. feeling isolated sounds less to me like 'eww the gays' and more 'sad i can't relate'
