like the other anons have said, there's no reason to say "no" if karen is still showing an interest in playing with you. i've played with multiple people that play the same character, some of the drop our threads and others keep them going. if i say i'm still interested in playing out the same ship or whatever, i am. there's no "sloppy seconds" about it. i want to play the thing so i'll tag who is interested in playing it too.

referring to it like that ("sloppy seconds") just comes off weirdly petty even if you don't mean for it to.

yeah, i'm seeing now how i was over-invested in all this and overly bitter when i had no reason to be. i don't really talk about rp with anyone anymore so it was nice to get some opinions

i read above where you have friends that show off threads with the same character you play while ignoring threads with you. if that's really what they do, i can see how you would feel like that. i've been on the receiving end of that kind of shit and it sucks bad. makes you feel like you're not good enough in this hobby.

but that's not the case. what's really going on? you are surrounded by shitty fucking "friends", op. i dropped the people that did that crap to me and i'm all the better for it. i found people that enjoy playing with me and talking to me about rp or just random stuff in general. they don't ignore me or make a big production of tagging everyone BUT me.

if this "karen" is still interested in playing with you, give it a shot. you might end up finding a better rp partner than you have in the past.
