The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. i know x has recently been used in terms like latino to make it more gender-neutral, so "latinx" pronounced like la-tin-ex. i believe plural is la-tin-ex-es?

I Am Not A Latino but i prefer latin@ tho tbh, "latinx" throws my stupid brain off and i always read it as "la-tinks." my brain pronounces latin@ like "la-tin-ao" but "ao" at least exists in portuguese.

my weeb ass is also influenced by pokemon fandom's use of "lati@s" for latias/latios.

like this is purely annecdotal, but i don't think that term is widespread at all, idk how it managed to get its own wiki article.
