The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. tfw you back up some shit to reformat your hard drive for a fresh start and you remember a bunch of little things you forgot to back up, like extension settings in your browser.

fuuuuuck, i forgot that syncing my browser wouldn't save that shit. it's not the end of the world but it's like, son of a bitch now i have to go through the settings again.

oh well, extra fresh start for me?

Fresh starts suck due to the time you gotta put in but on the other hand it's great to sort through extensions and shit that don't work or find ones that work better

true. although i'm good on extensions, i have the bare minimum i need with some extras disabled. it's more stuff like my adblock custom settings or the settings FOR my extensions. didn't back up my thunderbird settings like about:config. didn't make an up-to-date list of my current programs and OS tweaks.

i can remember most of it but ahhhh, trying to remember the last 10% is frustrating me. i backed up everything important like personal files and bookmarks, the rest is just tedious stuff i have to remember or look up.
