Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i don't think anyone was sincerely clamoring for a return of rpsecrets, and it's a valid complaint that the draw of the comm has largely been replaced by low-effort stuff like here and wg.

chill out anon, it's okay. maybe this will take off, maybe it won't, but it definitely won't be because someone pointed out an obvious issue with the format.

your first problem is that you're considering everyone to be a hivemind. sure. some people might actually ask for x or want a new y. but the people complaining aren't likely to be the same ones asking. you have a site with a wide variety of people on it. they all have different tastes. not everyone's going to like everything. so group a asking for a game b is not going to be the group c bitching about it. learn to differentiate. or just use your brain and figure out that there's at MINIMUM over 100 people on this site and you're talking to whoever happens to be on at the time. it's probably not the same people every time.

collective mental capabilities and more a matter of people viewing things like rpsecrets through nostalgia goggles in that "oh man remember this wasnt it fun" sort of way, but also being aware that the overall atmosphere of the rp community has changed. Something that was popular like 6, 8 years ago just won't get the same kind of traction with us now as it did when we were younger
