The joke's a classic, but we don't hear it as often as one might think. Our guild still references it on occasion because we're full of oldies, so we actually don't have any basement-dwellers I know of. The majority of our raid team and guild are just regular working people with jobs, kids, and pets. Every now and then, we get some young people who join and are surprised a lot of "old folks" are still playing, but we literally grew up with it.

As for unpopular opinions, this expansion isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. It's not great, and it's had some real crappy moments in storytelling, but it's also had some amazing ones. Sylvanas' arc is disappointing, but I've loved Jaina's and Talanji's, and am really looking forward to seeing more from the Nightborne and Night Elves in 8.2.

But to be fair, I played the entirety of WoD, which was definitely Untapped Potential and Disappointment: the Expansion. They're not all going to be winners.
