I miss my old ship partner. :( Not as a ship partner, because it was a nightmare trying to write a ship with this person, but as a friend. We talked about so many things and I loved telling them about my day and hearing about theirs. Reconnecting doesn’t seem possible, alas. I just need to live with it.

There's every indication that Nasu is working on the remake. He seems legitimately fond of the original characters, Tsukihime is referenced enough in FGO, and he talks about it often enough in interviews, unprompted.

He's just very busy, and also really wants to do right by Tsukihime.

Use your plurk strictly for rp and mute/unfollow the people that are bothering you. i typically check it about once every two days or so but it's also the main place i talk to people in the game i'm very active in.

You don't have to use it as a social media platform. You don't have to check in on everyone's [mute] plurks. You don't have to keep up with drama. Use it however you want, like advertising your character's post and pinging people for plotting reasons.

but if your mental health was suffering while active on plurk, there's something more going on than just the website. Find that problem and get rid of it.

Do you want to read it?

I realize that seems a little reductive, but that's kind of just what this boils down to. Even in a very good scenario the remake won't be out for two or three years, and then it'll have to be translated. Considering Mahoyo still doesn't have a full translation, that isn't a sure thing, though I imagine Tsukihime would generate a bit more buzz than Mahoyo. And even if we say the remake is out in two years and immediately translated, by some aniplex miracle, it's likely going to be a very different story than the original game. Nasu's priorities as a writer have changed a lot in the nearly twenty years since Tsukihime, and fiction is an evolving thing. Heck, he's even openly talked about how he'd write Tsukihime differently in interviews, with regards to things like Arcueid's characterization.

So, even if you read Tsukihime now, it's not as if you'll have really read the remake already.

As for the art - eh, I find it charming, though part of that is definitely me first reading it when I was pretty young.

As other people have said, if you're hard up for Tsukihime/Melty, I'd recommend just reading the manga and maybe looking up scenes from the VN/games as supplementary material, but if you want to read the VN or at least give it a shot, you aren't really screwing yourself out of experiencing the remake when it comes out, or anything.

I think it's time for me to leave this hobby. :(

Not live-action for any underage characters, but other than that, I don't care! I'd be playing a character from an anime, personally.

I haven't played on Subeta in about two years now but I have a ton of currency on it and about 20k different apparel items.

I hate to see them rot and I really don't know anyone who actively plays.

the fact that people are frustrated with law suddenly being a dick ic is because it's not what the player was playing him as until his cr started with one specific character, it seems. now he's burned a lot of bridges with characters (and players as well it looks like) who used to trust him and gemini is acting like a straight up asshole about it, a pattern of behavior that others have claimed is not unique to them in the past. to me it seems like the player has a hard time separating their ic assholeishness with their ooc conduct and it's very off-putting for many of us who had cr with law before this switch in character.

how receptive would you be to tagging someone who states upfront in their meme top level that they're willing to write starters for tag ins? would it make you more likely to reply to them?

i know i have a lot of castmates lurking around bs for multiple canons but they hardly ever top level outside of tfln and i'm wondering if people might be willing to tag in more if they didn't have to write the starter

with a platform like plurk, the problem isn't going to be plurk itself, but rather the people you have added. figure out who is causing you the problems and then cut them out. i keep my plurk restricted to actual friends and people in my games that i have fairly close cr with and i've had no issues keeping things drama-free that way.

i have way too many rare canon and crossover ships that will never ever get to be played out :(

I love my CR but am growing to hate my game. I don't know how much longer I can stick out terrible modding for other people I Like.

tbh im so used to doing the starter heavy lifting that at this point it wouldn't influence me much one way or the other

i can see how it'd be appealing to some tho. and just by putting anything at all in your toplevel, you're already standing out from the sea of blank ones on your typical meme, which is going to earn you more eyes looking for a little longer just by virtue of being something different to look at

so, i'd say it might up your chances for castmates by like 5-10% more, sure. every little bit counts, etc

Pretty much. OP isn't going to get other people to willingly use a platform for communication that they don't want to use. So their choices are figure out what their problem is with plurk and work to minimize or eliminate that or accept being out of the loop and missing out on stuff.

what can I say I've been bingewatching the latest One Piece arc it's stuck in my head

about to probably app to a smut game for the first time in my life and my stupid brain is giving me hell about it, like wondering if people judge me for it, or people will judge me for playing the specific character i chose for sexy times, or it's a bad idea that i'll regret forever like - brain! enough! give me a rest already!!

tbh that wouldn't increase my interest at all, where putting in some preferences (or even "no X or Y but X is great" if the meme has prompts) gets my attention - it feels more like the person really is interested to play enough to care about whether or not someone tags them with their nope scenario. blank toplevels just feel like someone's shitting out a muselist with zero interest in whether they get any bites.
