i'm already ashamed enough that there's an edit time line. :(

this is a nonsensical argument because the game is also disallowing tabletop OCs from settings that are completely removed from forgotten realms/eberron etc. essentially, if you do all of your own worldbuilding from scratch (included gods, regions, major NPCs, governments, alternate planes, whatever) and just use the dnd battle mechanics for your game, you still can't app your OC. i don't understand how you could argue that a dnd OC in that situation is a "fandom" OC, and most of the dnd groups I know do that for their campaigns.

i think this honestly boils down to taz and critrole somehow being considered separate from dnd at large in some way. just because those campaigns have a following or whatever doesn't mean they're not still tabletop characters.

i wouldn't tbh. i think that was a very weird mod call. scratch worldbuilding = complete oc as far as i'm concerned.

Someone else posted approximately this scenario a while back but our thread didn't get off the ground and I've recently been hankering for it, so!

In the future/some alternate world/whatever, one of the major pastimes of the rich is indulging in sex toys. Character A is just starting a job as a tester at one of the most prominent toy companies in the development lab where Character B works. B can be A's supervisor, the head of the lab, or whatever; I'm not too picky about their exact relationship. It can be strictly business or get more personal, either way works for me.

The main point is playing out lots of different futuristic sex toys. There's plenty of kinks that can go along with this, though I'd like to avoid any that are too fantastic. Also no on needles, toilet kinks, and major injury/death.

I'm more leaning towards playing B but can do either. PM me or leave a sock!

A demon that's inexperienced, a total notice, or just plain bad at their job is caught by a demon hunter. The demon hunter is normally cold and ruthless, but the demon is just so bad at being evil the hunter decides to keep him/her as a pet instead.

showgirls was a disaster all around but you cannot seriously be comparing to transformers receiving the same disdain that twilight or 50 shades got. like we’re there groups of snobby gatekeepers saying how bad transformers were for science fiction buffs, and if you want to see a realistic and healthy portrayal of a transforming robots, you should try some other fiction?

the thing about those films that were definitely catered to a male audience was that it was acceptable to like them until they came out and people realized they suck.

one thing people seem to miss is that it’s perfectly fine to trash something for being bad writing, but if someone genuinely enjoys something, don’t make them feel shitty or ashamed for liking it. when my preteen cousins were into twilight during the time the movies were coming out, i didn’t make fun of them for reading twilight or tell them they needed to read better books. “don’t be a dick” seems to be a hard concept for people to grasp.
