The current string of events has been amazing and a lot more of good stuff is about to come. I'm worried about the crash when the quality ultimately drops down ):

I'm not talking about other bad things, though. I'm talking about one bad thing, and other things being bad doesn't make the 50 Shades book not horrendously badly written.

I'm also not hating on the film, TBH. I went to see it with a group of friends who wanted to hatewatch it and... I actually kind of liked it. I know it's been said before, but it being a film stripped away the whole "oh god, the writing is so bad" thing, they tweaked a number of cringey moments to feel more understandable or actually romantic, and I found it well-acted.

now that i'm thinking about it, would be a bad idea/"handholding" to offer more ideas in the faq/event posts for players who aren't sure what to do with their characters?

I've modded a couple of games and gotten it when the game was still new. Off of that, I think that when a game is small and/or new, it's not handholdy to give them a few suggestions, since it can be a good way to play hype man and encourage them to play in a number of ways. Even when it isn't, those kinds of questions can just come out of them not being sure what they're "allowed" to do and not knowing other players they can go to for reference.

Seriously, this is not cute - watch "I think we're alone now" - a documentary about two people who obsessively stalk 80s pop star Tiffany - one got a restraining order from Tiffany and at the end switches to stalking Rose McGowan talking as if she was a girl he has a real relationship with - Bee talks exactly like those people - it's not cute, it's not healthy.

Yea, Bee's gonna be mad if people call her out on this, but really people should be discouraging this kind of behavior, because it's NOT GOOD FOR HER.

I've seen anons mention considering a new WoD game once or twice. Are any of them still planning that?

anyone know where i can find a screencap gallery/download of bioshock infinite/burial at sea? i would like to get some icons commissioned, but i need the screencaps first. i've tried using google to help me, but i've come up empty handed, so if anyone could help me out, i would greatly appreciate it.

The stream trickled warmly past the black leathery edges of the puppy mouth stream. The saliva waters churned as they flowed from the bed of the stream lined with the ever-lapping tongues of eager greeting puppies.

To feel a rock on the shore is to find sharp milk teeth of weened dogs, cast to the tufts of mange weeds growing into spits and bank.

The head of the stream is split by a single mound of golden fur. Like an upholstered boulder set with a large golden eye that swerves to see passing visitors. The waters will bubble and froth should the eye see you. The tongues lapping nervous loving greetings with gurgled yips.

I can't say I've had many people actually outright come to me for ideas. Instead, they passive aggressively complain about not having ideas on plurk and in chat. Typically these are the most useless and flaky players though, so I'm not sure how much handholding would actually help.

At this point just call the game Fate Gross lOlis tbh

because they're points with no actual merit

who cares about furries, seriously? there's hardly been any widespread moralizing or condemnation about them, just a bit of "let's laugh at the weirdos in animal costumes" and even that's not even a big deal anymore considering all the mainstream fishfucking jokes related to the shape of water

if you're gonna try to compare FURSECUTION to misogyny you need to get some perspective

there might be *fully deserved* moral outrage about gun nuts but even repeatedly shooting up schoolkids hasn't had any legislative effects; open carry is more widespread than ever and effectively gun nuts can keep right on going about their business and have only had the minor problems of losing a few nra discounts and having fewer places to buy guns/ammo

liking a dumb book like twilight also hardly compares to supporting almost completely unfettered access to firearms in the face of a mass shooting epidemic in terms of what deserves widespread scorn
