Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

BfA is supposed to turn pet taunt off automatically now in dungeons, yeah? Sometimes I don't think it is. There's no "on" border around Growl, and there's no other visual indicators the pet's growling, but I still have tanks chewing me out for it.

it's supposed to be off automatically, but you still see the icon go off on cooldown as if your pet is, in fact, growling. it definitely takes aggro like it's growling.

best to still manually switch it off in dungeons like we used to. or rather, turn it on and off again. i've found that when i do that my pet doesn't get clobbered.

Though even if you have growl off, you'll still be yelled at while 90% of the fucking warlocks you get have a voidwalker out and nobody says shit.

i've developed an intense dislike for warlocks since bfa dropped. every last one i've had in a group has been using their voidwalker. where's your felguard? where's your imp? where's any demon other than your fucking blueberry?

Most people are lazy yeah, but there are a few who seriously don't know better. Had someone this morning who'd never played a lock before and was using a voidwalker. They didn't know it wasn't good for group content.

I think we all just take it for granted that everyone's been playing for years/played their class before and forget that some people might be new.

tbf some tanks are just dipshits. I've been yelled at to turn pet taunt off as MM. You know, the spec without a pet? We're just easy targets.

But yeah, the auto-disable feature seems to be bugged. It looks like Growl is off, but it usually isn't. Turn it off manually.
