This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. Anyone else feeling just a smidgen locked out of the plot right now? Maybe it's just a combo of what those threads above are saying, but between this and the glacial pace people are tagging back, it's got me thinking maybe I should drop. It sucks because I love my CR in this game.

you could try getting some new cr with players who do tag back more regularly?

i keep seeing anons complaining about the glacial pace of this game, and i have to admit, i don't really know what they mean. the pace the game moves at is just fine for me personally, so either everyone's just getting stuck with the flakes in the game or the pace that works for me is slower than the pace that works for the people complaining. dwrp has plenty of faster games, though? i appreciate that hadriel is more laidback because it's more accommodating for hectic rl/work schedules and for those of us that can't keep up with a game that moves a mile a minute.

to clarify the pace i'm seeing in game, most of my thread partners will hit me back within a day or two, if not the same day that i tag them. a good chunk will hit me back almost immediately, too. i've been trying to clear my inbox for days and i've never managed to hit tagvana because everyone else is fast enough to keep the tags coming.

that said, it sucks if you do have to drop because hadriel isn't a good fit for you. i hope you find a game that does suit your speed more in the future.

and btw yes i do feel locked out of the plot, but i've been in the above comments talking about that at length so i'm not going to beat a dead horse here. solidarity though.

i mostly agree with you in that there are a lot of quick and/or reliable taggers, but the ayrt might be having the same problem i noticed which is that many of the plot-important characters are very slow. character that run player organizations or have important plot info can be frustratingly slow at times, and although rl > rp it does make getting involved with any larger plot difficult even if you can still develop some great cr with the faster taggers.

that's fair. i've been frustrated with players hoarding plot stuff in general so ig that's even more evidence that the way the plot is currently getting spread needs to change.

or you know slow players could do the responsible thing and get their shit together. rl > rp forever, everyone including slow taggers should have a chance to do cool stuff in game, but there have got to be better roles for them so they don't bottleneck everyone else.

if you're a slow tagger and aren't willing to share responsibility for organizations or plots or what have you, you shouldn't be in charge of any of those things. if you're playing a character who icly will hoard info or only invite their close circle in or will just straight up be a pain in the ass to work with, you shouldn't be in charge of any of those things.
