if you look at the task board though, there are npcs who don't like the pcs but are still willing to offer jobs to them and others who still believe in them. and the mod post didn't mention anything about threats or violence, just that pcs might have trouble buying things or keeping a job in some places. the word some got used a lot! so i think saying the whole setting's turned on them is an overstatement. sure, icly you can't ignore this completely, but your character doesn't have to deal with the stuff you listed if you don't want them to. that's not a definitive part of this fallout, other people are just having their characters' stores get trashed because they do want that. you can craft your own experience!
that said, while i'm personally digging this i get why other anons aren't. to the anon above me: different things are interesting to different people! there's nothing wrong with enjoying sol, and right on the game blurb it says that sol is a big part of emp along with adventure and plot. i'd like to see us all get what we want out of the game without anyone having the things they want to play get brushed off (and i know people who want more plot and higher stakes have felt like that too). everybody has their own preferences and that's valid!
