This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. I think memes are pretty dead because of their format. A good thread can take a little too much work to set up (scenario, setting, how the characters know each other, what general direction the thread is going to take) for us to trust in the hands of strangers any more, because we've been burned too many times by non-replies or dropped threads or just knowing from that first tag that it isn't going to work out. PSLs are getting a resurgence because they're between players who already know each other and collaborate to hash all those details out, and can trust that they won't ghost. It takes some of the strain off from pure meme RP.

Someone on wg said that DRs should come back, and I'm beginning to think they're right. I think if open spaces for newbies and strangers could alleviate some of those factors somehow too, that would get play again. So a dressing room, where you have an established setting and an existing impetus behind characters meeting, plus whatever event type things the mods might throw in, could be the answer.
