not even that. what if someone who's already in game doesn't like the player of their canon s/o or family member? it would be really simple for someone to block off a cast so only their friends can play in it just by saying no to anyone they don't know/don't like.

that's an admittedly shitty rule. it might fly on ij, but in dwrp, it doesn't work well and it's unfair. if cast/partners app in and the pair don't work out or don't play well, most people just play around the other.

There is currently a soft cap of 8 characters. This is limited to mod discretion, based on player activity level. Which means, if a player has great activity, they could be allowed upwards of 20 characters

Really?? I feel this is excessive. And a huge way of squatting or completely blocking plot access.

yeah, a lot of this leans really heavily towards ij rules, which has people allowed up to 20 characters. i feel like the mods of this game could benefit from doing themselves a favor and looking at the rules of the games already established here. not to say they have to follow them exactly, but there's a pretty good reason games have characters caps per player of three or four.

i'm not trying to shoot the game before it opens, but i really do think they should take a peek at other games first and pick up the vibe of how this site usually plays before posting a game with rules they're already changing because of people pointing out it doesn't fly here.
