Well, they found this beautiful creature. It's in Stormwind, making it absurdly hard for a Horde hunter to get at it.

imo putting the two new spirit beasts in major cities sounds like a disaster. i can easily see other hunters attempting to steal your tame, not to mention some of the grudgier ones just killing it if you got to it first. maybe the "challenge" involved in these tames is getting around nuisance players.

that's not even getting into the choice between the beasts; alliance gets a gorgeous ghostly gryphon, horde gets...a blue raptor. they couldn't even make it the spectral wyvern.

Wyvern is in the datafiles and likely to happen eventually. I snagged my gryphon as horde at about 5 am without any problem at all, it's a bit annoying but doable.

man, and it's right next to the flight master? yeah, there's no way anyone horde is getting it, even on a carebear server. that's bullshit, and i play mostly alliance. you guys deserve a sparklegryphon.

why is every single decision terrible this expansion? seriously. the only good decisions the devs have made are the ones where they reversed some of the more egregiously stupid ones.

Competition's nasty on my server for both the gryphon and Gon. People hover like buzzards waiting to steal the tame from each other, because apparently waiting your goddamn turn is unheard of.

i'd wait. like, maybe a few months at least. right now it's impossible to get that damn thing. no matter what time you log in someone's camped there, and i don't know about anyone else but i'm not in the habit of stealing tames from someone who's already there.

I can only assume that's what the 100 hunter camping there intends to do. Either that or he's just somehow managed to overlook everything that said you have to be 110 to see the feather and spawn the gryphon.

odds are good he was looking to ninja. ever since it was confirmed the gryphon (and the raptor) scale to level once the feather/egg is clicked, lowbie hunters have been hanging around their spawn points on my server.

That's a dick move, but considering the number of shitty people in this game I shouldn't be surprised.

hey, look at it this way: while everyone's squabbling over this thing and gon, getting some normally hard-to-obtain spirit beasts has gotten easier. i actually managed to get my hands on skoll and loque now.

arcturis however, continues to elude me. fucking bear.

Changing the subject, but today I had a lowbie tank in cloth. Guy gave me a shitty attitude about it too, blaming "quests" for the reason he didn't have a plate chest.

Yeah, sure. You're telling me that by level 20 no quests gave you plate, nor could you buy anything. Even a plate chest with just +1 strength would be better. Even a white plate chest would be better.

"quests"? yeah, that's a shitty excuse. if his race's starting areas afforded him nothing usable in the way of gear, he should have tried another.

by his logic then no tank should have proper gear at low levels. all the ones that do must be sorcerers.
